I troubleshoot systems.
I build the fix forward.

I'm Tayler Hickman, a bilingual Technical Support Junior Engineer with a B.S. in Software Engineering. I turn customer and operational problems into clear diagnoses, useful documentation, automation, and working technical tools.

Support tooling built from the queue outward.

My day-to-day work starts with real customer problems: investigate technical and account issues, track recurring patterns, prioritize and escalate complex cases in Jira, and coordinate with engineering and product teams through resolution.

I also use AI-assisted development to turn repeated support friction into internal tooling and automation. The goal is practical: reduce repetitive work, make troubleshooting faster, and make useful context easier for the next person to act on.

DiagnoseCustomer and application issues through CRM and ticketing workflows.
EscalateTrack recurring and complex issues in Jira with engineering and product.
AutomateBuild internal tools around support pain points using AI-assisted development.
DocumentCapture troubleshooting knowledge to improve consistency and reduce repeat effort.

This case study intentionally describes transferable methods and outcomes without exposing employer-confidential systems, customer data, credentials, or proprietary source code.

Support instincts.
Developer foundation.

I work best where application behavior, people, and systems meet. My support background taught me to ask better questions, reproduce problems, separate symptoms from causes, communicate clearly, and know when to involve another team. My software engineering background lets me go deeper: APIs, databases, authentication, web applications, cloud foundations, and code.

Technical: Python, JavaScript, Node.js, Express, Flask, Vue.js, Angular, REST, JSON, Swagger/OpenAPI, OAuth, JWT, SQL, SQLite, MongoDB, Firebase/Firestore, Git/GitHub.

Support: troubleshooting, Jira, CRM workflows, issue triage and escalation, knowledge-base documentation, cross-functional collaboration.

Education: B.S. Software Engineering, Web Development emphasis — Brigham Young University–Idaho, 2025.

Languages: English + Spanish.

Evidence over keyword stuffing.

I'm growing toward deeper enterprise application administration. I won't claim production experience I don't have. What I can show today is the underlying engineering behavior: troubleshooting, disciplined escalation, automation, API and database work, documentation, customer communication, and the ability to learn unfamiliar systems quickly.
